Research in Green Space Management

In urbanised societies across the world, the important role of parks and other green spaces has become recognised.

Our research deals with green space management in a broad sense as comprising the policy and governance, management and use aspects associated with urban and peri-urban green spaces.

Research within this theme looks at questions such as:

  • How are decisions taken in the planning and management of green spaces and who is involved? How can decision-making be improved?
  • How is green space management carried out and organised? Which developments and innovations are taking place?
  • What are the functions and benefits of urban green spaces and how can we assess these?

Within the green space management theme we have strategic partnerships with organisations and municipalities in Denmark as well as abroad.
