Key-topic 1: Natural Beech Forests as a Reference Point

 

Under this key-topic, the natural reference for the nature-based management of European beech forest will be defined. Information on past- and present-natural forest composition, structures and process associated with natural beech forests are to be collected through the pan-European range of native beech forests. The findings will form the reference point for nature-based management of beech forests and be fed into other key-topics.
