Project regarding Greenhouse Gas Processes in Forests

This project deals with developing sampling strategies and measuring the fluxes of the greenhouse gases methane and nitrous oxide from contrasting hydrological conditions in forest soils.

It is the aim that the methods and results we obtain will be used to improve greenhouse gas emission inventories from Danish forests in the future.

Full title of the project:

  • Carbon sequestration and emissions of the greenhouse gases methane and nitrous oxide from wet forest soils.

The project is a part of workpackage "Targeted close-to-nature forest management and hydrology as tools for optimizing carbon stocks in biomass and forest soils".

Funded by The Danish Nature Agency.
