Research and Development at Forest & Landscape

Forest & Landscape´s scientific efforts are focused around the following subject areas:

We draw on the disciplines and methods from natural sciences, social sciences and the humanities. Sustainability, multifunctionality and welfare are all key concepts.

The research subjects are wide-ranging and cover areas such as genetics, wood technology, ecology, technology and cultivation as well as economics, politics, planning, landscape architecture, management and sociology.

We conduct research in relation to local, national and international issues, e.g. relevant to the developing countries.  Our scientific work forms the basis for informing policy processes and for education, communication and strategic initiatives.
