The Arboretum in Hørsholm

Lake in the Arboretum

The arboretum is a unique collection of trees and bushes that appears as a beautiful park – or an exotic forest. It is used for educational and research purposes in botany and plant use. The park is open for the public daily from 7.30 to sunset.

The collection is made of around 2000 species and is the biggest collection of trees and bushes in Denmark. You can for example experience the impressive collection of rhododendron and the flowering in May or the many beautiful autumn colours.

The Arboretum in Hørsholm is a part of Forest & Landscape, Faculty of Life Sciences at University of Copenhagen.

Below you can read more about the history of the Arboretum, opening hours, and which trees and bushes you can find in the Arboretum.
